A Japanese-style landscape garden in the southeast corner of Mingchi Forest Recreation Area (明池森林遊樂區), built on the site of what is marked on maps as the “former residence of president Chiang Ching-kuo” (經國先生行館遺址). Although Mingchi Guesthouse (明池行館) appears on some lists of Chiang family residences, the connection is tenuous, and only a small plaque on site discusses the history. The garden itself features stone arrangements, a water cave modelled on the Japanese tea ceremony concept of suikinkutsu (水琴窟), and forest boardwalk trails. There is a modest admission fee.
