A small tunnel on the Luodong Forest Railway Line (羅東森林鐵道) along the riverside embankment. It is partly collapsed but one entrance has been neatly cleaned up for tourists to visit and observe the bats inside. It is sometimes also referred to as Taipingshan Forest Railway Zhinao No. 8 Tunnel (太平山森林鐵路智腦八號隧道), and the name only seems to have been formalized when it was awarded heritage status in 2012. Originally it would have been the seventh tunnel on the railway line, but an additional tunnel was built further east at some point, making this the eighth.
