Completed around 1910 by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA), this building was part of the Beitou Branch of the Japanese Army Garrison Hospital. It was located here specifically due to its proximity to hot springs, which were used in a therapeutic setting to heal wounded soldiers. It was integrated into the Tri-Services Hospital (三軍總醫院北投分院) in the post-war era. Restoration efforts were under way in the early 2020s.
