Established in May 1930 as Hokuto-sha, an unranked (無格社) Shinto shrine. The shrine was located at what is now the Ketagalan Culture Center (凱達格蘭文化館). A pair of komainu (狛犬) salvaged from the shrine were previously on display at the gate of the nearby Yixian Elementary School (逸仙國小) but were vandalized in 2017 and subsequently removed. The school reportedly decided to restore and rehouse them elsewhere, but their current whereabouts are unclear.
