A Japanese colonial era railway station in coastal Miaoli, opened as Xinpu Station (新埔驛) in 1922. It is one of the few remaining wooden station houses still in use, and one of five such survivors along the Coastal Line (海岸線) known collectively as the Five Treasures (海線五寶). Xinpu is also considered to be the station closest to the sea on Taiwan’s western trunk line. It is located in Tongxiao, Miaoli.
