A derelict hilltop military complex on the south side of Chima Village (赤馬村) in Xiyu, Penghu. It was originally built by the Japanese around 1903 as Nei’an Village Fortress (內按社堡壘) to defend the northern approach to Yuweng Island (漁翁島). The position was armed with six Krupp 12cm cannons, four 9cm mortars, and four machine cannons before being decommissioned in 1935. The ROC military reactivated the site after 1950 as part of the Magong Fortress defense plan and stone boundary markers from the early 1950s still line the approach path from the east. Long abandoned and overgrown, the complex retains intact bunkers and machine gun emplacements. Tentative plans for tourism development have stalled and the site remains unmanaged as of the mid-2020s.
