A cinema on the fourth floor of Wanqi Entertainment Building (萬企育樂大樓), a nine-storey entertainment complex at the intersection of Emei Street and Kunming Street completed in 1968. Founded by Shanghai businessman Xu Weifeng (徐偉峰), it was originally known as Today Department Store (今日百貨). Unlike typical department stores of the era, it was designed primarily for entertainment, with a cinema, restaurants, karaoke halls, and a rooftop amusement park. The department store closed in 1997 and Eslite (誠品) took over, renaming it Eslite Life Ximen (誠品生活西門店). The cinema space has since been operated by Showtime Cinemas (秀泰影城) and by the mid-2020s it is operated by Century Asia Cinemas (喜樂時代影城). Over the years it has been known by many different names including Jinma Theater (金馬戲院) and Fenghuang Theater (鳳凰戲院), or perhaps these were simply the names of different theater halls.
