Originally established as Quancheng Theater (全成戲院) in 1946. In 1948 the business was split into departments, with Xiaoquancheng Theater (小全成戲院) screening films, and Daquancheng Theater (大全成戲院) hosting traditional opera and glove puppetry performances. The film screening part of the business was renamed in 1969 while the drama section closed around 1972. It was sold to Wu Yiyuan (吳義垣), owner of Chin Men Theater, in 1984, and he continues to operate it as a second-run cinema into 2024. The inner passages contain a small museum to theater history in Tainan.
