Former monument to the Russo-Japanese war built in 1934 and repurposed for ROC nationalism in 1946. The original site was home to a watchtower where Japanese sentries allegedly sighted the Baltic fleet moving through the Taiwan Strait, but this seems like a myth made up for propaganda purposes. Now a public park with a fantastic view.
