Tongxiao Railway Granary was built around 1950 to improve food security in the tumult of post-war Taiwan. The complex features several warehouses, an office, and a rice mill, all now dilapidated and in need of restoration. Although it was listed as a heritage site in 2010 little has been done to fix up the site, most of which is completely exposed to the elements by now.
I am a web application developer, photojournalist, urban explorer, and history enthusiast passionate about the open web and documenting my experiences on this planet. This project was founded in the early 2010s and has evolved into a sort of personal Wikipedia of places that interest me (and often the photographs I’ve taken there). I’m originally from Toronto, Canada, but spend most of my time residing in Taiwan.
