A small Japanese colonial era railway stop opened in 1931 on the Taichū Line (臺中線). It served as a temporary stop for gas-powered rail cars operated by the Taiwan Governor-General’s Railway Department. Passenger numbers were modest, averaging between 25 and 42 boardings per day through the 1930s. The station closed in 1942 when fuel rationing during World War 2 forced the discontinuation of gas-powered services. Nothing physical remains at the site, which now lies on the Taichung Green Space Railway (台中綠空鐵道) corridor, but an interpretive marker near the Taiwan Boulevard underpass documents its former location.
