A small temple on the edge of Taibao dedicated to Niu Jiangjun (牛將軍), a deified water buffalo said to have been buried here after dying of exhaustion while clearing land in the Zheng era. It was completed in 1973 beside Wusheng Enzhugong Temple and contains only statues of a buffalo and a herd boy, with fresh grass and water set out daily. Chiang Ching-kuo visited in December 1978 while president and placed fodder in the trough, inspiring the construction of a larger temple complex nearby.
