Chiayi Irrigation Association Sluice Gate (原嘉義郡水利組合之水閘門及水道)

A reinforced concrete sluice gate with six water gates built in 1936 by the Chiayi Water Irrigation Association (嘉義郡水利組合) in the settlement of Jiangmuliao (姜母寮), now Fuquan Village (福全里), on the west side of Chiayi City. The gate was designed to dam water from the main drain channel and divert it into the Daxicuo branch line (大溪厝別線) for irrigation. It remained in use through the post-war era until 1978, when it was decommissioned following the rerouting of the central drainage system.
