Shitan Granary (獅潭老穀倉) - Spectral Codex
獅潭老穀倉

Situated just off Xindian Old Street (新店老街) in Shitan, Miaoli, this 60 year-old rice mill and granary has been neatly converted into a showroom for local agricultural products and souvenirs. The formal name for the business is Shitan Township Farmers’ Association Community Shop (獅潭鄉農會農村社區小舖), but it is generally known simply as Shinong Shop (獅農小舖). Shitan specialties include dried persimmons (柿餅), grass jelly (仙草), and preserved daikon radish (菜脯), all famously associated with Hakka culture.
