This was one of hundreds of tobacco barns that dotted the plains of southeastern Taichung during the peak of the industry sometime in the 1960s or 1970s. It is located in Renhua Village (仁化里)1, not far from the Taichung Tobacco Factory, which must have been quite convenient for the owners back when it was still in use. I happened to notice it from afar while riding around the margins of Dali in 2017, but it seems to have been demolished by around 2020. I’ve had no luck finding out anything about this place so I leave you with only these photos.
