Originally managed as Sanyang Coal Mine (三陽煤礦). Renamed after it changed owners in 1953. The mine continued to operate until 1981. While many similar sites are quickly engulfed by the jungle, the mining office remains accessible from the roadside, and there are other interesting relics scattered along this mountain road.
