A complex of seven brick-walled warehouses built during the Japanese colonial era for rice milling and grain storage, a fitting use for the largest rice-growing district in Taoyuan. The buildings are notable for their timber frames and for interior walls plastered with a mixture of yellow clay and rice husk, marked with measurement lines to gauge grain stocks. The complex was restored in the late 2000s and operated as the Xinwu Rice Story House (新屋鄉稻米故事館) until closing for another round of renovations around 2025.
