Zhuolan

Zhuōlán (卓蘭) is a mountainous township in southeastern Miaoli with a predominantly Hakka population. The township preserves historical sites from multiple eras, including Zhaozhang Temple, commemorating Qing dynasty military conflicts with local Indigenous peoples. Although situated within Miaoli, due to its location on the southern margins of the county it is culturally more within the sphere of influence of neighboring Taichung.
