Originally established in 1885 as the ancestral shrine for an important Hakka family in Zhuolan. It was expanded in the Japanese colonial era but heavily damaged in the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake. Also sometimes referred to as the Zhan Family Ancestral Hall (詹姓祖廟).
