Tóngluó (銅鑼) is a landlocked rural township in central Miaoli with a predominantly Hakka population. Established during the early Qing dynasty era around 1745 by migrants from Guangdong, the township sits at 271 meters elevation on the western slopes of Guandao Mountain (關刀山). The area is known for its agricultural production, particularly as Taiwan’s main chrysanthemum growing region.
