The former US military dormitories at Ching Chuan Kang Air Base (清泉崗空軍基地), built in the 1960s for Military Advisory Assistance Group (MAAG) personnel stationed in Taiwan during the Cold War. After the US withdrawal in 1979 the buildings passed to the Ministry of National Defense and were repurposed as dormitories for the 427th Tactical Fighter Wing, then left vacant after new dormitories were completed in 2006. The H-shaped buildings, clad in corrugated aluminum panels with sloped roofs and wooden doors and windows, are the most representative of surviving US military structures at the base alongside the nearby chapel. The site sits within a restricted military zone and is not accessible to the public as of the mid-2020s.
