A relatively well-preserved set of Japanese colonial era dormitories built sometime between 1932 and 1937 to provide housing for police officers at the nearby station in central Dongshi, Taichung. Most of the buildings are now semi-abandoned but some remain occupied. In 2020 the complex was struck by a fire that destroyed four buildings, leaving two families homeless, but the community came together to help them rebuild.
