This was originally a traditional Japanese restaurant in Hsinchu Park (新竹公園). In the post-war era it was repurposed for a variety of uses related to the military, particularly in relation to Airforce No. 11 Village (空軍十一村). More recently it has been restored and repurposed as a rest facility in the park.
