Completed in 1922, this Japanese-style wooden residence was originally built for staff working at the nearby Hsinchu High School (新竹中學). Born in Guangdong, Hsin Chih-Ping (辛志平) became principal of the school after the war, and was famous for his achievements there. His former residence is now restored and operates as a small restaurant and museum.
