Xiangshan Haishan Brick Kiln (香山海山磚窯廠) - Spectral Codex

The only remaining traditional Hoffmann kiln (八卦磚窯) in Hsinchu City. It was established on Keyashan (客雅山) as long ago as the 1950s by members of the Gao () family, and would have been one of several kilns on site in its heyday. After decades of neglect there is renewed interest in preserving the site, as it is the last of its kind in the area. Although there is no chimney standing next to this kiln another one can be found further to the northeast, albeit without the body of its kiln. It is located next to the Hsinchu Yixiao Baseball Field (新竹義消棒壘球場). Access on scooter or bicycle is possible by going around the dirt and gravel road to the back of the farthest baseball diamond.
