Three ROCAF military dependents’ villages of around 260 households near the junction of Yanping Road (延平路) and Jingguo Road (經國路) in Hsinchu, an area residents knew as Sanchang (三廠), or “third factory”. The name came with families of the 8th Group who had first lodged in a Japanese naval aircraft repair depot at Shulintou; all three villages were cleared and their residents rehoused in Dapeng New City (大鵬新城) on the site of No. 18.
