Liujiao (六腳) is a rural township in western Chiayi County. It was a major center of Taiwan’s sugar industry during the Japanese colonial era and is home to Suantou Sugar Factory, established in 1906 and operational until Typhoon Nari destroyed its machinery in 2001. The site has since been repurposed for tourism as Zhecheng Cultural Park (蔗埕文化園區) with a heritage railway extending from Chiayi HSR Station to the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum (國立故宮博物院南部院區).
