A fertilizer mixing facility built around 1939–1940 when Tianzhong served as a major rice collection point for central Taiwan. Sulfur and phosphoric acid were delivered by narrow-gauge railway, mixed on site, and distributed to farmers. After the war it became a fertilizer depot, then a rice storage and milling facility from 1976. Seven Japanese colonial era warehouses remain on site and it was registered as a historic building in 2005.
