A small temple founded during the Kangxi reign (1684–1722), originally devoted to Qingshui Zushi (清水祖師). According to temple lore, a piece of driftwood lodged in the drainage ditch out front after a heavy rain and refused to wash away. Locals had it carved into an idol now known as the Driftwood Guanyin (水流觀音), who became the temple’s primary deity. Although more recently rebuilt the temple features an ornate wooden caisson ceiling in the main hall, while a pair of banyan trees reputedly over 200 years old stand in the lane out front.
