A late 17th century temple venerating Prince Chífǔ (池府千歲), believed to be the oldest Wang Ye temple in Tainan. Originally founded as a Buddhist temple during the Ming-Zheng era, it transitioned to its current deity after a traveller from Tongan left a Prince Chifu statue that attracted a growing following. The surrounding streets radiate outward in all directions, a pattern known in fengshui as the “spider web” formation (蜘蛛結網穴). Famous for its creative painted lantern festival held annually around the Lantern Festival (元宵節).
