A cluster of NCO housing (士官宿舍) built for the US Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) in Xinbei Village (新北里), North District, Taichung. Also known as the Old Compound to distinguish it from the later New Compound in West District, it included tennis, baseball, volleyball, and badminton courts alongside a small playground with a slide, carousel, and swings. Management of the compound likely returned to the Bank of Taiwan (臺灣銀行) after the American withdrawal from Taiwan in 1979. The compound was demolished without a trace, likely in the 2000s, as part of the redevelopment of the Yizhong Road (一中路) commercial district. It is informally referred to as the Old MAAG Advisor Residential Group (舊美軍顧問團住宅群) or Xinbei Village MAAG NCO Dormitories (新北里美軍顧問團士官宿舍).
