A lone bridge head stands on a sandbar in the Zhuoshui River (濁水溪) below Wanfeng (萬豐), a Bunun village in Ren’ai, Nantou. It is the last remnant of a suspension bridge that once marked the northern end of the Qubing Historic Trail (曲冰古道). A typhoon or flood of uncertain date carried away both the span and the trail. Neither the bridge’s length nor its construction date is recorded; a worn inscription on the bridge head is largely illegible, though the distance to the far bank suggests a span of roughly 200 meters.
