Qingyun Suspension Bridge (舊青雲吊橋) - Spectral Codex

Qingyun Suspension Bridge was built in 1980 to span the Zhoushui River (周水溪) in eastern Shuili, Nantou. Although it looks ravaged by some disaster or another it was decommissioned as part of regular maintenance and subsequently dismantled starting in 2015. I happened to chance by before the work was complete; nowadays what is seen here has been fully removed.

Cactus is a somewhat unusual sight in this part of Taiwan, particularly one so large growing on the side of a bridge!

Not much left of this old bridge (and soon it would be gone forever).
