A granite stele commemorating the victims of the 1935 Hsinchu-Taichung Earthquake in Laojilong (老雞隆), now Xinglong Village (興隆村), Tongluo, Miaoli. One of the earliest settlements in the area, it suffered the highest number and proportion of fatalities of any village in the county. Erected the same year, the stele has the names of 166 victims inscribed on its sandstone base.
