Eluanbi Joint Logistics Activity Center (聯勤鵝鑾鼻活動中心) - Spectral Codex

Established in the mid-1960s as the Kenting US Army Hostel (墾丁美軍招待所), one of several leisure facilities for US military personnel on leave from the Vietnam War. After the American withdrawal from Taiwan it was repurposed for use by members of the ROC military and later opened to the public to stay and use the facilities.

With so many newer resorts opening up in Kenting this old hotel fell out of favor and was finally abandoned around 2005. Since then it has become a staple of the urban exploration scene in Taiwan due to its ease of access and scenic surroundings. Starting in 2022 the military has taken a renewed interest in the property and access is no longer permitted, though it hasn’t stopped many curious explorers from hopping the gate.

In August 2024 two bodies were discovered by three local youths daring to explore the site at night during Ghost Month.
