Completed in 1970 on a hillside within Kenting Forest Recreation Area, this was the southernmost of Chiang Kai-shek’s guesthouses, offering panoramic views of the coast and Dajian Mountain (大尖山). The three-storey building was constructed with marble staircases and cypress flooring and featured secret entrances to an underground escape tunnel. After the Chiang era the hotel passed through several operators, including Caesar Park (凱薩) in the 1990s and a period under Forestry Bureau management, before being acquired by the Gloria Hotel Group (華泰集團) in 2011. It has since been extensively renovated into the luxury Gloria Manor (華泰瑞苑). The original CKS study on the first floor has been preserved with its redwood furnishings.
