Built in 1925 as the office of the Guiren Credit Purchasing and Sales Cooperative (保證責任歸仁信用購買販賣利用組合), an Art Deco style building that served as the predecessor of the Guiren Farmers’ Association in Guiren, Tainan. It was reorganized several times after the war, operating as the township farmers’ association until 1967 when operations moved to a new building. The old office was eventually repurposed as a furniture store. The façade and parts of the structure were damaged in the February 2016 Meinong Earthquake (2016年高雄美濃地震), and the farmers’ association initially planned demolition, but the building was designated a historic building later that year and is now slated for restoration.
