A theater dating to the Japanese colonial era, located next to the original entrance of Taipei Bridge (臺北大橋). It was reportedly the most accessible theater in the area, specializing in Taiwanese opera (歌仔戲). It closed in 1968 as one of Taipei’s last Taiwanese opera venues. The site was rebuilt into a seven-story commercial building completed in 1972. A cinema continued on the second through fourth floors, initially as Jinqiao Theater (金橋戲院) and later Yinxiang Theater (銀鄉戲院), screening adult films and eventually hosting striptease shows. The former theater space is now an elderly long-term care center.
