A temple and memorial hall dedicated to Koxinga (鄭成功) on Tiezhengshan (鐵砧山), also known as Guoxing Temple (國姓廟). The present building was completed in 1948 with a distinctive dome roof inspired by mosque architecture. The outdoor Koxinga statue was sculpted by Taichung artist Wang Shui-ho (王水河) and completed in 1962 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of Koxinga’s conquest of Taiwan, commissioned by the Army Armored Corps under General Chiang Wei-kuo (蔣緯國). The temple fell into disrepair and was further damaged by the 921 Earthquake; restoration work began in 2007.
