Waipu Roly-Poly Stone Statue (外埔不倒翁石頭人雕像) - Spectral Codex
外埔不倒翁石頭人雕像

An unusual stone statue at the entrance to the hills in Waipu. It resembles a daruma (達磨) or tumbler toy, which will right itself after being knocked down. Its origins are shrouded in myth, but it might have been constructed as a symbol of Taiwanese resistance to Japanese colonial rule.
