Originally established in 1870 to commemorate those who perished in the establishment of Dahu. It was relocated several times during the Japanese colonial era and finally settled in its current location in 1952. The temple is more known for Zhaozhong Pagoda (昭忠塔), which houses the remains of anti-Japanese resistance fighters, among whom Lok Hok Seng (羅福星) is most widely known.
