A stone-walled villa on Yangmingshan built between 1930 and 1940 as a retreat for a Japanese business owner. After the war it briefly housed Jū Zhèng (居正), a senior KMT figure, before being leased to the US Embassy; the first American ambassador to the ROC, Karl Rankin (藍欽), lived here for seven years. The villa was returned to government ownership in 2003 when AIT relinquished its lease, but has since fallen into ruin. It is fenced off and located directly across from a police station.
