This walled complex was originally the site of the Taipei Prefecture Tuberculosis Sanatorium (台北州立結核療養所), later used as a mental hospital in the final years of the war. Later it was repurposed for military use by the KMT, eventually operating as a listening post monitoring activity in China. Still under military control; public access prohibited.
