The former residence of Yu Yongmao (余永茂), reputedly an entrepreneur doing business with the Gancheng Military Base due west of Hanxi (旱溪), a traditional settlement long since swallowed up by Taichung’s urban sprawl. It is in extremely poor shape, particularly since the 921 Earthquake struck, and parts of the original residence have been demolished as of 2020. Look for the gatehouse at the end of the alleyway.
