A square reinforced concrete bunker built around 1950 along the railway line on the southern edge of central Taichung. Constructed in response to Cold War tensions following the KMT retreat to Taiwan in 1949 and the outbreak of the Korean War the following year, it is one of a network of guard posts, machine gun bunkers, and air raid shelters built along major roads, bridges, and rail corridors. The structure features 45 cm thick walls of cobblestone infill within a column-and-beam frame, with one entrance on the south side and two rectangular firing slots. Designated a historic building in 2010 and restored in 2018, it now serves as the centerpiece of Chonglun Community Bunker Park (崇倫社區碉堡公園).
