A vast industrial complex in Rende constructed in Xintian Industrial Zone (新田工業區) in 1970 by Tainan Spinning (臺南紡織股份有限公司), one of Taiwan’s largest textile producers. A chemical plant was added in 1973 on the east bank of the Sanyegong Creek (三爺宮溪), adjacent to the main mill and connected to it by a bridge. The complex ceased production in 2019 and is slated for redevelopment as a science park.
