A rural herb garden in the Shanglun Village (上崙里) area of Rende, Tainan that rose to notoriety in the late 2000s. Its eccentric owner, Xu Atian (許阿田), built tin-roofed huts among his family graves, raised an archway naming the plot Ghost Valley (幽靈谷), and scattered the grounds with old coffin boards and tombs. He claimed to be raising a harem of more than a hundred female ghosts as his wives by dripping his blood onto used coffins, a tale that led wary neighbors to give the place a wide berth. It has occasionally been the subject of talk shows and such.
