An entertainment complex completed in 1979. Each floor had its own theater: Wanguo Theater (萬國大戲院) on the second; Dashijie Theater (大世界大戲院) on the third; Zhongguo Theater (中國大戲院) on the fourth; Jinxiangjian Theater (金像獎戲院) on the fifth; and Xixiangfeng Theater (喜相逢戲院) on the sixth. These were all part of the Lianhong Group (聯宏院線) of theaters in the area. Most of these seem to have gone out of business by 1987 and the building has almost certainly been completely renovated, seeing as how numerous other businesses have occupied the building since then. Currently it is a high-end jiudian (酒店), or hostess bar, with live entertainment. Also note that the name of this entry is guesswork; the building probably has a formal name but I wasn’t able to find it, so I named it after the street it is on.
