Archaeological ruins of a Catholic church built by the Spanish in 1626 on Heping Island, the first Dominican mission site in Taiwan. Discovered in 2014 beneath a shipyard parking lot, excavations have unearthed 21 human remains including European missionaries and Indigenous children. The site opened to the public in 2022 as an exhibition space beneath a metal shed.
