A former cinema established in 1951 along what is now Hukou Old Street to cater to an influx of soldiers stationed at nearby military bases. It went out of business quickly after the army opened its own dedicated theaters to entertain the troops. It was officially named Fuxin Theater (復新戲院), but without a signboard showing the characters, patrons soon came to their own understanding (and the name stuck). Eventually it was converted into a Hakka restaurant, which still operates out of the shell of the theater today. The original ticket booth and some other aspects of the cinema have been preserved. Originally had a capacity of 500.
